Resident Evil 6: The Elder Scrolls VI: Raccoon City?
Just saying. And isn't it better to notice that the Resident Evil 6 logo looks like the Oblivion and Skyrim logos than to notice that it looks like a giraffe getting a beej?
Capcom Kicks Off Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City AR Game
If you're a Resident Evil enthusiast who's stoked about Operation Raccoon City and looking to kill some time, then Capcom's serving you up some interactive teasing in the form of an AR game (brought to my attention by Eurogamer). Click around for a few seconds on Umbrella Sciences recruitment site, and you'll find all is not as it seems at first glance. But then again, to any Resident Evil fans, it's no surprise to discover a seemingly typical pharma giant has its tentacles in all kinds of conspiracies, shady dealings, and mad science.
Anyway, you'll soon be funneled to the website run by an anti-Umbrella activist group, from where you'll be tasked with an internet scavenger hunt for clues that result in codes, which you take back to the heroic...uh...hackers? As the good citizens of the internet uncover clues, tidbits and info about Operation Raccoon City will become viewable. There are also vague promises of future prizes for diligent detective work. So stop pretending you're actually getting work done at the office right now, and get started on something that's important. The Internet needs these game details, damnit.
The 7 Most Evil Video Game Megacorps
Evil empires and invading aliens are so passe. The big villainous prize these days is the malevolent megacorporation. Take your everyday Pfizer, Blackwater, or ADM, give them billions more dollars for throwing at ridiculous projects, make their heads evil or incompetent, and stir in some grandiose plans for world domination. You've just made a video game megacorp. These are the 7 most evil companies in gaming. Some do it for the money, some do it for the power, but either way you can be certain that you don't want to work there.

Resident Evil: Damnation trailer
Continuing with the horrifying movie news, we have a trailer for the next CGI movie in the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil: Damnation. This film is a followup to Resident Evil: Degeneration and, unlike the blockbuster films starring Milla Jovovich, actually takes place in the games' continuity. This, however, does nothing to prevent them from being absolutely abysmal. And it does nothing to stop them from doing great sales numbers.
Silent Hill: Revelation 3D Coming To Theaters

ComingSoon is reporting that the team behind the Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D is threatening to make a sequel to the abysmal Silent Hill movie franchise. The sequel is set for 2012 and roughly follows the plot 2003's Silent Hill 3, focusing on female protagonist Heather Mason as she treks her way through Silent Hill. One of the most interesting things about Silent Hill 3 is the way it ties back to the original Silent Hill game. It's curious to see if the movies try to do the same. We here at Aggrogate are super excited about this, as we were huge fans of the last Resident Evil movie. I'm glad this is the direction that gaming adaptations are going. Lord knows we don't need any more visionaries like Edgar Wright making movies like Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Another win for mediocrity in 3D!
TGS 2010: Wesker and Spider-Man Join Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
Resident Evil's own Mister Sunglasses-At-Night and your friendly neighborhood webhead have been officially added to the playable crew as revealed through these two TGS trailers hosted by Gamespot. Albert Wesker is the main villian of the Resident Evil franchise, often commanding and causing the majority of the complications in the series behind the scenes. This will be his second time in a playable character outside of the Resident Evil series (he was a secret character in Lost Planet 2).
Spider-Man has been part of MvC ever since Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter, and it's good to see him finally confirmed on the roster. Check out his intro trailer after the break.
TGS 2010: Suda51 Meets RE4 For Shadows of the DAMNED
So, what would happen if you were to take the game auteur sensibilities of the man behind Killer7 and No More Heroes and filtered them through one of the minds behind Devil May Cry and Resident Evil 4? Why, you'd get Shadows of the DAMNED. Shadows of the DAMNED is the Suda51 and Shinji Mikami horror game team-up EA will be publishing next year.
The plot follows professional demon hunter Garcia as he kills citizens of the demon world to save his abducted love, Paula. Considering Suda51 has a hand in the game, it probably gets much, much stranger than that. Shadows of the DAMNED will be coming out on PS3 and 360 in Japan next spring. An American release has yet to be announced.

Scott Pilgrim is a fantastic movie packed with video game references and worked on many levels. It made $30 million (half of its production budget) in a month and is already out of most theaters.
Machete is a fun, ridiculous action film that developed an Internet cult following due to Robert Rodriguez' fake trailer in Grindhouse. It made $20 million over 10 days.
Resident Evil: Afterlife is a giant piece of crap that doesn't work as an action movie, doesn't work as a horror movie, certainly doesn't work as a video game movie, and has almost nothing to do with the video game series from which it takes its name. It made more than $27 million in its opening weekend.
Not much more can be said.
Resident Evil: Afterlife: They Weren’t Even Trying
[This review has spoilers.]
I'm not a huge Resident Evil fan. I honestly haven't played through any of the games. I enjoyed Paul W.S. Anderson's first movie, and even found Resident Evil: Apocalypse somewhat enjoyable. I have no emotional investment in Capcom's survival horror franchise at all. That said, Resident Evil: Afterlife is the most offensive movie I've seen this year. Oh, it's bad.
It's Wing Commander movie bad.
It's Double Dragon movie bad.
It's Uwe Boll bad.
