Dissidia Sequel Gameplay Clips

So far they've announced 5 new characters in the sequel to Dissidia: Final Fantasy. We've got video showcasing of four of those characters in combat. Above is most recently announced Laguna Loire of Final Fantasy VIII taking on the protagonist of the latest game, Lightning Farron. Embedded after the break is a clip of Final Fantasy XII's Vaan taking on Tifa Lockheart of the Final Fantasy VII series. The sequel to the PSP exclusive is scheduled to hit sometime early next year.

The Story’s Not Over Yet. Square-Enix Announces Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy

Siliconera has confirmed that a sequel to Dissidia: Final Fantasy will be coming to the PSP. The new is titled Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy and is scheduled for a 2011 release in Japan. Joining the ranks of playable characters will be Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII and Kain from Final Fantasy IV. Kain is the more interesting addition to the crew, as it indicates the the sequel will be branching out and adding characters other than the main characters. More details are expected at Tokyo Game Show. I sincerely hope this means Zack is in the game. Who do you want in the sequel?

Lawsuit over Final Fantasy XIII

Gamer Daniel Wolf has filed a class action lawsuit against Square Enix and Sony of America. In the lawsuit (PDF), which was filed June 2nd, 2010 Mr. Wolf claims the game freezes and even breaks Playstation 3 consoles. He also claims that there has been "severe and widespread damage to his Sony PS3 system since the release of Final Fantasy XIII on March 9th, 2010. The game has caused permanent damage, causing his PS3 to become unresponsive and no longer able to play any other type of media after restarting". Mr. Wolf is asking for $5 million dollars in damages and other financial relief. Both Sony and Square Enix have not commented on this claim, but each have repeatedly blamed the other for this known issue.
