It’s that time of year again, when everyone turns their minds toward the holiday season and the good folks at Penny Arcade work to raise toys for childrens’ hospitals. Yes, Child’s Play is in full swing, and Aggrogate is going to take part!

We’ve set up a ChipIn account so you can donate to Child’s Play through our site. Why do we care that you donate through us, and that we can track the numbers? Well, besides bragging rights, they’re so we can award your generosity with entertainment! If you donate $5 or more, you’ll get a Rifftrax we’re going to specially record for the charity. You see, I have a pile of crappy video game movies, and they’re just begging to be mocked.

If you’re not familiar with Rifftrax, you should really check it out. Mike Nelson, Bill Corbett, and Kevin Murphy of Mystery Science Theater 3000 record commentary tracks for popular, infamous, and just outright bizarre movies, that you can download and listen while you play the movie. It’s basically MST3K, but for new movies (or old, weird movies). It’s fantastic, and worth the few bucks for each film. Rifftrax can make Twilight watchable.

Anyway, we’re going to do a Rifftrax of Street Fighter. Yes, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Raul Julia, hilariously terrible Street Fighter. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

That’s not all! If we raise over $500, we’ll riff Super Mario Bros. Over $1,000, we’ll riff Mortal Kombat. Over $1,500, Far Cry. Every $500 means another movie, up to… let’s say a half dozen movies (unless I can find more). And as long as you chip in $5, you’re gonna get every Rifftrax in MP3 format! Oh, and if we raise over $3,000, the Street Fighter Rifftrax will be freely distributed on the site.

Use the ChipIn widget above, or on the sidebar of the site. We’ll be keeping it up through December. It’s set up so any donations go directly to Child’s Play; don’t worry about any middleman garbage. You put cash in through ChipIn, it goes to the charity. So give until the laughter hurts!
