You read that right. You’re not dreaming. It’s not a prank. Mega Man Legends 3 is official, and it’s coming to the Nintendo 3DS. The news was just posted on the Capcom Unity site [via The Mega Man Network], and it says clear as day that a decade after the last Mega Man Legends game was published, the series will finally be getting a new chapter.
There’s very little information besides the initial announcement, but Capcom has already published a web site for the game in Japan. The site for “Rockman Dash 3″ (Rockman is Megaman in Japan, and Rockman Dash is the Mega Man Legends sub-series) is already up, and it has an announcement from the project’s director, Masakazu Iguchi. Unfortunately, the video is in Japanese. Capcom Unity’s Devroom section prominently displays Mega Man Legends 3, but it has no information about the game at all yet.
Still, the game is finally coming. 2011 is going to be a big year for Capcom classics. Now all we need is for them to announce a 3D remastering of Ducktales for the 3DS and I’ll be set.
