From the Game: The Other Castle Crashers Swag (Plus, Winners!)
Last week, we looked at The Behemoth's exclusive Castle Crashers King figurine, and announced the very first Aggrogate Giveaway. Besides the King, we put a bunch of other Castle Crashers swag up as prizes, and offered only a small picture and a few words describing all the stuff. It's time to announce the winners, and go into more detail about the neat Behemoth merch they've won.
The friendly little guy you see above is The Behemoth's chicken mascot, in the form of a soft, spongy stress ball. He's great for abusing (don't worry, winner; this squeeze-ball is completely pristine), but if you really want to have fun you can stand up a shoebox with The Behemoth's logo on it, drop the ball directly in front of it, and pretend you're playing a Behemoth game. Then explain the joke to everyone and watch them never talk to you again.
The chicken ball, along with two stickers showing how to poke it, is awarded to Jim F., who presented the combination Peasant, Piece of Meat, and Ram:
"My favorite Combo is definitely the Peasant, The Piece of Meat & the Ram. You know, cause he's repressed and it empowers him to swing his meat at a guy then ram him."
We had originally described this trinket as a "Castle Crashers keychain," but it might be better to describe it as a metal charm, or the world's greatest thimble. It's a metal depiction of the Knights' helmets from Castle Crashers, open on the bottom and hollow so you can wear it on your pinky and use it to beat up other pinkies. It comes on a short metal chain, so you could hang it from your keys, or your belt, or your rear-view mirror.
The keychain/charm/thimble is awarded to Nathan B and his choice of Red Knight, Lollipop, and Bat:
"The best combination is the red knight with bitey bat and lollipop weapon. The use of candy will give enimies a false sense of security, making them think you are a nice stranger, then POW! a bat is chomping at their head. When they ask you for help, you reply "okay" slyly then zap them with electricity. Bitey bat flies back to you side as you both laugh at the frying enemy's now-viewable skeleton."
These are Castle Crashers cell phone charms, based on two of the animal orbs from the game. These particular ones are based on Giraffey the giraffe and Pazzo the fox. While they both look adorable dangling from your phone, they neither grant you extra XP or float over patches of earth where you should dig.
The phone charms go to our remaining two runners-up, along with (for one) a great sticker and (for the other) a handful of pins.
This is a Shepard Fairey-style Castle Crashers sticker, just like the one The Behemoth slapped on the box they sent to us. Don't worry, unlike the one on the box, the prize is pristine and has not spent most of a week stuck to a box, bumping against other boxes in the back of a truck.
The sticker and the Giraffey charm are awarded to Daniel Y., and his combination of Ninja, Bonesaw, and Chicken:
"I can't lie, I like Ninjas (more than Pirates). Also, Ninjas combined with Chickens is a win-win. Who doesn't like Ninjas combined with Chickens? Communists, that's who."
Finally, these are pins. They're... full of shiny pin-ness. They go to Grant G., and his combination of Cult Member, Fish, and Bi-Polar Bear:
"I mean what says you're insane quite like a cult minion attacking you with a fish, while a bi polar bear tries to kill you both?"
Now, it's time to announce the grand prize winner and lucky recipient of the King figurine. That honor goes to Trev, whose combination of Peasant, Pitchfork, and Chicken won us over with this explanation:
"My favorite character to use in Castle Crashes is a little someone I like to call Farmer Bob. Basically he consists of the Civilian skin, armed with a Pitchfork and Chicken Orb. Much to the dismay of my friends I occasionally charge in all Leeroy Jenkins parody, 'Farrrrrmeerrrrr Boooooooob! ... At least I have chicken.' I enjoy it because it's an amusing contrast to all the knights and warriors and I feel it fits the Castle Crashers setting rather nicely."
Congratulations, guys! The swag will be coming your way shortly.
