Alien Swarm freely hits Steam on Monday
Tomorrow Valve is making it rain with a free game the built in-house, with staffers recruited from the mod community. Alien Swarm will hit Steam on Monday, and it will be available for a nice, round zero dollars. According to the vague countdown note on the game's page, it will unlock around 5:00 p.m. EST, so everyone can start slaughtering aliens as soon as they get home from work.
Alien Swarm looks like a cross between Gauntlet and Dead Space. You and three of your friends fight through sci-fi mazes filled with ravenous alien monsters in a top-down/isometric perspective. Check out Steam tomorrow to download the game yourself.
