Square-Enix Unveils Lord Of Arcana

Siliconera reports that Famitsu has revealed Lord of Arcana, a multiplayer action game for PSP slated for this year. Lord of Arcana is Square-Enix’s take on Monster Hunter. Players create a slayer, a customizable warrior who sets out to fight beasts. He gets quests and drops off items at Kariyoport, which has hunting staples like a guild. This is interesting not only because this is yet another Monster Hunter clone, but by the fact that this is the second game in development from Square-Enix that has Monster Hunter styled gameplay. Early reports have stated that Final Fantasy Agito XIII as a multiplayer action RPG. It is possible that similar to the way the Crisis Core engine was used to make Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, Lord of Arcana could be an early run of engine for Agito XIII.
