From the Game: WoW’s Tankard O’ Terror
You have many choices when drinking a beverage. There are cups. There are glasses. There are mugs. There are steins. And then there are tankards. The very word conjures up the image of something between a mug and a tank. When a tankard is based off of an item in World of Warcraft, you have a vessel worthy of From the Game.
This is the Tankard O' Terror, a huge tankard made by 3Point Entertainment, a company that produces an entire line of World of Warcraft beer steins. Amazingly, the TOT is the least expensive, largest, and most game-accurate product the company offers.
The Tankard O' Terror is a life-size replica of the epic mace of the same name in World of Warcraft. This rare drop can be found by killing Coren Direbrew in Blackrock Depths. Of course, the drop rate for this item is just 3%, so you might have better luck just ordering it from 3Point.
The detail is incredible. It's clearly based off of the in-game model, from the hexagonal shape to the molded spikes around the sides. It weighs 4 pounds, stands nearly 10 inches high, and can hold 2 liters of liquid.
It's made out of stoneware ceramic, and feels very solid in the hand. The walls are between a quarter inch and half inch thick, and the entire tankard seems to be made out of a single piece of stoneware. It won't deal 171.5 DPS, but it's still heavy, hard, and sturdy.
The Tankard O' Terror is available for $40 directly from 3Point, but shipping tack on at least $10 more to that total. Considering the size, accuracy, and functionality, it seems well worth it to any fan of both World of Warcraft and beer. This is easily one of the best From the Game replicas so far. It's huge, it looks like an item in a video game, and you can fill it with alcohol!
